Attempting to write and direct films at Ravensbourne University London.
My latest project I wrote and directed for my final project of second year at university. It follows a change in a couple’s relationship when she returns from travelling.
This film was inspired by a task at University to create a dream sequence narrative. It is about Paul, who is worried about an incoming job interview when his imagination takes over.
I made this film for one of my university briefs in the first term. The challenge was to shoot the film in one singular, continuous take. I wrote the script and helped organise the film via facebook events in order to get all our extras. My official role was cinematographer that I had a lot of fun with. When it came to the edit I also added special effects in order to show our characters PoV of a drug trip she has after being spiked by her ex.
Last Request is the one of the first films I made at university. I directed and wrote the project which made us explore what it is like to work in a vertical format.
This project was only the second brief into my first year course of Digital Film Production at Ravensbourne University. I didn’t anticipate directing this early but once I pitched my script to my team they thought it was best I lead my own ideas. In the end I was very happy with the outcome and would call it my most successful film so far. We are also planning to submit it into some neiche festivals.
I worked on this project over a 2 week course with the National Youth Film Academy.
I stayed in London and made this 10 minute long project where I worked as cinematographer.
It is by far my longest project as we had a full 4 shooting days, I worked with a very large team of people and made connections that I have already used again.
